In 2023, Pakistan grappled with a 70% increase in militant attacks, an 81% rise in deaths, and a 62% surge in injuries. Security forces managed to thwart potential attacks, but the year marked the highest number of suicide attacks since 2014 and the highest monthly average of militant attacks since 2015, amidst economic challenges and political turmoil.
