Pakistan Institute for Conflict and Security Studies (PICSS) organized a two-day National Youth
Convention “Hamara Pakistan” (#NYC2022) on 18-19 May 2022 at Jinnah Convention Centre,
Islamabad. Dr. Arif Alvi, President Islamic Republic of Pakistan, was the Chief Guest of the inaugural
ceremony. In addition to the participation of youth leaders from across the country, youth and students of the twin cities
participated in the conference. Before the event, PICSS extensively engaged universities and institutes
of higher education for the event and opened online registration for youth who have completed their
education as well as those not nominated by their universities. The event was widely covered by print
media. As many as 32 newspapers including English and Urdu newspapers (national and regional)
covered the event. PTV News ran special segments of the event in English and Kashmiri languages
separately for both days of the convention.
